Epstein

The Main Antagonist

Extreme Threat

Epstein is the primary threat in Five Nights at Epsteins and the reason most new players fail. He moves rapidly through the camera network and can appear at your window with almost no warning. When he appears, you have exactly 0.5 seconds to press the E key or your run is over.

Behavior

Start: Camera 11

Attack: Appears at window — 0.5s reaction time to press E

Strategy

Use audio lures on cameras near his current position. He has an 85% chance of returning to the camera where audio is played. However, he will not return to the same camera more than twice — prepare 2-3 rotation points. Never spam audio on one camera (3 consecutive uses causes Camera Error). Prioritize Epstein above all other enemies.

Pro Tips
  • Audio lure must be on a camera NEAR his current position to be effective.
  • Rotate lure positions — same camera max 2 returns.
  • If he appears at the window, do not hesitate. Press E immediately.
F

FC

The Persistent Pursuer

Medium Threat

FC is a secondary threat in Five Nights at Epsteins who follows audio activity. While not as immediately lethal as Epstein, FC becomes dangerous when ignored during multi-tasking on later nights. He moves based on nearby audio and can overwhelm you if he gets too close.

Behavior

Start: Camera 11

Attack: Follows audio cues to approach office

Strategy

Use audio lures to keep FC in the back rooms, particularly around Camera 11. He is easier to manage than Epstein, but do not neglect him — especially on Nights 4 and 5 when all enemies are active simultaneously.

Pro Tips
  • Can be managed alongside Epstein using the same audio rotation.
  • Lower priority than Epstein but becomes dangerous if ignored.
  • On later nights, check his position during your routine camera sweeps.
T

Trump

The Vent Crawler

High Threat

Trump is the only enemy in Five Nights at Epsteins who attacks through the ventilation system. He starts at Camera 9 and can enter the vents connected to Camera 1 and Camera 2. His approach is always signaled by a distinct banging or knocking sound.

Behavior

Start: Camera 9

Attack: Infiltrates through ventilation system (Camera 1 & 2)

Strategy

This is a purely audio-reactive mechanic. Hear the first knock → close vent immediately at the Control Panel. Hear the second knock → reopen vent immediately. Critical: do not keep vents closed longer than necessary or you will suffocate from oxygen depletion. While Trump can be affected by audio lures, your audio lure priority should always be Epstein first.

Pro Tips
  • Use headphones — the vent knocking is your only warning.
  • Quick close-reopen rhythm, never a permanent seal.
  • Audio lure Trump only if Epstein is already under control.
S

Stephen Hawking

The Static Observer

Medium Threat

Stephen Hawking is a unique threat in Five Nights at Epsteins. He is permanently stationed at Camera 6 and is completely immune to all audio lures. Unlike other enemies, he requires a pro-active, scheduled response rather than reactive management.

Behavior

Start: Camera 6 (fixed)

Attack: Leaves Camera 6 and eliminates you if not periodically electrocuted

Strategy

You must periodically switch to Camera 6 and administer an electrocution to keep him in place. If ignored for too long, he will leave Camera 6 and immediately kill you with zero warning. The most effective approach is to make Camera 6 checks part of your regular rotation cycle — shock Hawking every time you finish handling Epstein or Trump. He needs a check-in every 15-20 seconds.

Pro Tips
  • Completely immune to audio lures — electrocution is the ONLY counter.
  • Build "shock Hawking" into every loop of your check routine.
  • He gives no warning before leaving Camera 6 — prevention only.
